The 4 Steps to use in impromptu speaking: 1. Listen 2. Decide (Express opinion / reasoning) 3. Organize (Problem / Solution / Result) 4. Express

What was the biggest takeaway for you?

It's been such an honor to learn from Satish today. My biggest takeaway is the framework for high stakes impromptu speaking. I am going to practice intentionally with listen(pause)-decide(storytelling)-organize(PSB/PREP/STAR)-express(body languages). Thanks again for the opportunity.

I liked having a detailed roadmap for answering an impromptu question. Well thought out ideas.

What new action(s) will you take based on what you learned from this workshop and how will you hold yourself accountable?

One of my concerns was how we should judge ourselves in impromptu speaking - Can we accept being less than perfect, and how much less, given a difficult, time-critical situation? I think this give me a framework to judge and improve against.

Thanks Satish for this session. I am happy that even Impromptu Question can be delivered with organizing as you showed in 3 structures and 4 steps. Got lots of techniques to practice upon.

Framework on how to structure impromptu speeches. Make it a skill that we could practice and master.

Find some interview questions and apply the frameworks to come up with a good answer. Practice.

The mental models were terrific. Very clear paths to a solution to answers to questions.

What was the biggest takeaway for you?

I loved the simple frameworks that Satish shared. For example, LIsten - Decide - Organize - Express. I also liked the impromptu scenario during his interview. The question was "If I hire you, what should I be worried about?" and the answer that got him the job was "Your job - that's what you should worry about" :)
