What was the biggest takeaway from the talk?
It's always easy to write a book for a nano niche. Your readers will definitely discover that they can what you covered in the book is applicable for others as well, so they will recommend it to others as well. Thus they will become your brand ambassadors.

Make writing a part of my daily routine.

What was the biggest takeaway from the talk?
The concept of habit formation. I found that very insightful and useful, especially for someone who struggles very often with juggling different tasks.
What is one thing you will do differently based on what you learned from the talk?
I will follow a more structured approach to writing, instead of going all over the place.

Good old carrot and stick approach! I intend to split the writing into chapters and every time I finish a chapter within the deadline, I put a reward for myself, and every time I miss a deadline (hopefully not many!), I put a penalty for myself. Going to try it out and see how I move with it.

I think putting a tight timeline and smash it without thinking anything is the best way to write a book - In a nutshell.

Important aspect of making anything interesting is the mystery element. Research is an act to delay.

Is to start writing and not getting stuck by trying to overthink.

Arouse curiosity among the readers, like first scene of a titanic movie. Even in a non-fiction book, we should be able to bring in curiosity factor.

My take away was that I need to be very good at story telling - I will be a great story teller and I will work on it.

THE ZEIGARNIK EFFECT you have mentioned. After hearing you mention it, I could relate it in many past instances

1. Do not Stop, keep writing. 2. You may have got what you wanted, but it this what you needed? 3. It's ok to be tired with the book even if you feel the research isn't enough (in reference to the Smart but Stuck - book)

WRITE EVERYDAY.. dont bother about the quality of work..it will get better with time. WRITE MORE and you will get better

A book is a story with characters, a cliff hanger in the beginning and it evolves
